Hello folks,
Congratulations, it’s almost the end of term! We have one final rehearsal, but a couple of things in 9th Week, so those of you sticking around: keep your eyes peeled.
Rehearsal
That’s right, you guessed it. Rehearsal at Cohen Quad on Tuesday from 8pm, then session at the Royal Blenheim until closing (11pm). It’s hard to keep coming up with new ways to say this each week, but there it is.
Christmas Dinner
Remember that Christmas Dinner is on Wednesday at the New Dancing Dragon in Summertown! Sign-ups have closed for it so please only show up if you did sign up, otherwise Zoe will probably be a little annoyed.
Ceilidh at St Aldates Parish Centre
We have a rogue 9th Week gig for those of you still in Oxford, on 12th December. Peter’s notes for this describe it as a “Youth Christmas Party” featuring “75-100 youth”, which sounds slightly ominous. If you’d like to find out what this could mean, details and sign-up are below:
Location: St Aldates Parish Centre, 40 Pembroke Street, Oxford OX1 1BP
Set-up: 18:00–19:00
Ceilidh: 19:00–21:00
Pack-up: 21:00–21:30
Tune of the Week
This week, try out The Doberman’s Wallet by Irish fiddler Frankie Gavin. Here’s a video of Fergal Scahill playing it in a poly tunnel for some reason.
