Hello folks,

As we drag ourselves into 6th Week prepare yourself for another bonanza of OUCB activities!

Rehearsal

Surprise surprise, we’re in Cohen Quad for rehearsal this week on Tuesday, starting at 8pm. We’ll then head on over to the Royal Blenheim for a session until closing time (11pm). If you’d like to buy a new folder (for £5!) at rehearsal, please reply to this email so that I know how many spares to bring.

Folk Round Here

On Thursday we have the debut Folk Round Here! If you’d like to perform in the open mic section of the night, there’s still time to sign up here. If you’d just like to come and listen to our excellent performers and the fantastic Bailey and Keeley, tickets are on sale here. Spread the word, bring your friends, and sign up for a slot!

Ice skating social

As you may have seen from the Facebook chat, OUCB ice skating socials are back! Zoe has booked us a slot on Saturday (22nd November) at 12:45pm at the Oxford Ice Rink. It’s £8.50 entry, £2.45 for skate hire, and a lot of fun — more so if you have no idea what you’re doing!

Oxmas Public Ceilidh

It’s the second Public Ceilidh of term next week! It’ll be on Monday 7th Week (24th November) in the same place as last time (Jesus College’s Digital Hub, opposite Wagamama’s in town). Please sign up below if you’d like to play and speak to Eva if you’d like to give calling a try. Make sure to bring your friends — they can get a ticket here!

  • Location: Jesus College Digital Hub, Market Street, OX1 3EF (opposite Wagamama)

    Set-up: 18:00–19:00

    Ceilidh: 19:00–21:30

Each year, the band celebrates the festive season with a big Oxmas dinner, complete with Christmas crackers and Santa hats. This year, we’ll even be doing it in December for a change! It will be on Wednesday 8th Week (3rd December), and you can sign up here.
